Show-and-Tell Practice

Remember to prepare for your Show-and-Tell Practice. Xin Yun did her presentation today. She did a great job, speaking in a loud and clear voice, and maintaining eye contact with the audience. Below is an adapted version of her presentation.

"Good morning, everyone. Today, I am going to tell you about my favourite fruit. My favourite fruit is the watermelon. It is sweet and juicy. It is big and green and has tiny black seeds. On a hot day, it is especially refreshing to eat a slice of watermelon. My mother buys it at the market and cuts it into many slices. After dinner, my whole family will enjoy eating the watermelon. Thank you for listening to my presentation."

You will be taking turns to give your Show-and-Tell presentation this week and next week. Be prepared.

Poetry Recital Competition

Adeline Lau and Tham Min Yao represented 1F in the Poetry Recital Competition held on 19 July. They recited the poem 'Dinosaur' and came in first! Congratulations to our two winners who practised diligently till they were word-perfect! A big 'thank you' to the whole class too for their fervent support every time Adeline and Min Yao practised in the class. In fact, some of you could even recite the lines with them! Special thanks to Cara Wong who was the 'back-up'. She learnt the whole poem too, in case one of the two representatives was absent.
